Enhancement of Illa Pietat

In the historic center of Vic lies this heritage complex, composed of several buildings that tell part of the city’s rich history.
The intervention focused on enhancing the value of these spaces, allowing them to reveal their full architectural and cultural potential.

The project included lighting design, restoration of historical and archaeological elements, and improvement of access routes, with the goal of enabling the city to reclaim these spaces and share its history in an accessible and engaging way.

Developed by the architectural studio Toni Gironés, the project has earned multiple awards, including the European Award for Architectural Heritage Intervention, was a finalist for the FAD Award for Architecture and Landscape, and was selected by the Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism.
