Pau Claris offices renovation, Barcelona

Transformation of a historic family mansion into a bright and modern office space, in a project that combines heritage, history, and functionality. The original building was expanded with three additional floors, reaching a total of eight, and load-bearing walls were removed to create open, spacious, and light-filled areas.

To ensure the building’s stability, a framework of steel beams and columns was installed, preserving original elements such as the Catalan vault, which was restored in the deteriorated slabs.

The project also included the creation of two access cores, safety elements compliant with current regulations, and the installation of an olive tree in the lobby using a crane, adding a visual focal point and a sense of well-being to the space.
